Chyniah is 16 years old and when she grows up, she would like to be a dermatologist and a singer. Chyniah’s one wish would be to take care of her family and show them how much she appreciates them.

“In the beginning, I had no choice but to attend the Club, it was not my first choice. I was shy and mostly just observed my surroundings. It was not long before I trusted the staff and felt safe, all of a sudden, Boys & Girls Club felt like family. Club has always embraced. Because of Club, I have been a part of Drama Club, Music, BGC News and Smart Girls. By far, the best experience was visiting Tennessee on a Teen trip.

To me, the Boys & Girls Club is one big family.  It is a safe place that can mold and help direct the kids into the right direction, but at the same time still allow them to explore options and be kids.
